The Faculty of Energy and Fuels at the AGH University of Krakow is a leading academic unit in Poland, focused on cutting-edge research and education in energy, fuels, and environmental protection. Our programs combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students to tackle current and future challenges in both conventional and renewable energy sectors.
In June, Assoc. Prof. Agata Mlonka-Mędrala, PhD, DSc, Eng. from the AGH Faculty of Energy and Fuels (Department of Thermal and Fluid Flow Machines) visited Xi’an Jiaotong University in China. During her visit, she met with Prof. Xuebin Wang and his team as part of the project titled "Utilization of municipal solid waste from various sources in a conventional coal-fired power plant through pre-treatment using pyrolysis."
We are proud to announce that the AGH University of Krakow has signed an international Letter of Intent, strengthening cooperation between Poland and Italy in the field of nuclear technologies. The event took place in Łódź during the prestigious International Construction Business Meeting (ICBM) congress.

The 3rd edition of the SPINAKER International School is currently taking place at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, AGH University of Krakow.
Students from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, as well as students from Poland, are taking part in the classes.
From July 13 to 18, 2026, the Faculty of Energy and Fuels hosted the Energy Transition Summer School, an international initiative organised jointly by AGH University of Krakow and the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam, with the generous support of Shell.
Bringing together students from Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Ukraine, France, Italy, and Greece, the summer school established an ideal forum for cross-cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and diverse perspectives on the global energy transition.
The sixth edition of the International Conference on Energy Fuels Environment EFE 2026 will be held 17-20 November 2026 in Krakow, Poland.
The Conference proceedings: oral presentations and poster sessions will be conducted at the AGH University of Krakow.
The goal of the sixth International Conference on Energy Fuel Environment 2026 (EFE 2026), organized by the AGH University of Krakow and the Cracow Technology University, is to raise awareness of interdisciplinary challenges in fuels and energy on the international forum, with a special focus on Sustainable Energy and Environmental Transition.
