All of Our Education Programmes

Programs in Energy and Environmental Engineering

  • Energy and Renewable Energy & Energy Management
Dive into decentralized power systems, unconventional energy sources, and energy storage solutions. We’ve recently launched pioneering second-cycle (Master’s) programs like Hydrogen Energy, where you’ll explore hydrogen technologies and fuel cell systems, as well as Nuclear Energy, which includes hands-on internships both in Poland and abroad.

  • Double Degree with Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Tokyo
Through the Energy and Environmental Engineering Master’s program, you can earn two diplomas—one from AGH UST and one from the renowned SIT in Japan. This collaborative initiative led by Professor Janusz Szmyd has already celebrated its first graduates, who received their degrees in Tokyo and Krakow in May 2024 during the 20th anniversary of AGH–SIT cooperation.

  • Specialized Study Paths in Energy
Whether in Polish or English, you can tailor your education by choosing from multiple focus areas, such as District Heating and Air Conditioning, Energy Storage and Conversion for E-mobility, Computer Modeling in Energy, Electrical Devices, Networks, and Systems, Energy Systems and Machinery, and Energy Transition.

Programs in Chemical Engineering

  • Chemical Technology
During the first year, you’ll study together with peers from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics. From the second year onward, if you opt for WEiP, you’ll specialize in topics like alternative fuel production, flue gas treatment, and wastewater purification, gaining a strong foundation for careers in the chemical or environmental sectors.

  • Modern Fuel Technologies
Learn about solid fuels (including biomass and waste), liquid biofuels, hydrogen and biogas, as well as fuel cells. You’ll also study environmental analytics, emission control, and eco-friendly processes for the fuel and energy industries. Advanced pathways include Chemical Technology in the Energy Sector, Environmental and Industrial Analytics, Eco-friendly Chemical Processes, Advanced Fuel Technologies, and Environmental Protection in Fuel Technologies.

Why Choose WEiP?

  • Cutting-Edge Curricula: Engage with today’s most pressing energy topics—from hydrogen to nuclear power.
  • Global Opportunities: Gain international exposure through double-degree programs and a network of top-tier global partners.
