Chemical Technology

Undertaking studies in the field of Chemical Technology, conducted jointly by the two Faculties of Materials Engineering and Ceramics and Power Engineering and Fuels, guarantees the acquisition of knowledge, skills and social competences in accordance with the assumed learning outcomes, which take into account contemporary socio-economic needs. A student completing first-cycle studies in the field of Chemical Technology is fully aware of the role of individual fields of material, fuel and energy technologies, their impact on the environment and the socio-economic development of the country. The Chemical Technology course belongs to the area of knowledge related to both technical and exact sciences. Its practical reference in the economy is related to the acquisition, processing, storage and use of various raw materials and chemicals, as well as the operation of equipment in which these processes take place. The reference and scientific background of the field of study is the scientific discipline of Chemical Engineering, located in both the field of chemical and technical sciences. Thanks to the achievement of the above educational goals, graduates of the Chemical Technology field of study will be sought-after and valuable employees in production plants, scientific and R&D units and other areas of the modern economy.
