The Social Council

The Social Council of the Faculty of Energy and Fuels (WEiP) AGH UST has an advisory function, supporting the faculty's authorities in shaping development strategies, curricula and cooperation with the socio-economic environment. The main tasks of the Council include:

  • Strategic consulting: Providing recommendations on the directions of development of the faculty, taking into account current trends in the energy and fuel industry.
  • Cooperation with industry: Initiating and supporting cooperation between the faculty and enterprises, institutions and industry organizations aimed at the transfer of knowledge and technology.
  • Improving curricula: Evaluating and proposing modifications to curricula to better adapt them to the needs of the labour market and the expectations of employers.
  • Faculty Promotion: Supporting activities that promote the Faculty in the local, national and international environment, in order to increase its recognition and prestige.

The composition of the WEiP Social Council includes representatives of the faculty authorities, heads of departments, as well as representatives of industry and institutions related to energy and fuels.

The Social Council meets once a year to discuss key challenges and opportunities for faculty development. These meetings are an opportunity to exchange experiences, present research results and make decisions on strategic directions of action.

Thanks to the involvement of the Social Council, the Faculty of Energy and Fuels of AGH UST effectively adapts its activities to the changing market realities, ensuring the highest quality of education and research.
